Carissa is a Stage Manager, Scenic Designer, Scenic Carpenter, Scenic Painter, and Property Designer for Theatre Arts. She is currently getting her BA in Technical Theatre Arts at Marquette University with a minor in Advertising with an emphasis on graphic design. She grew up in a suburb of Chicago but has lived in Milwaukee the past three years.
During her time at Marquette she has been involved in many main stage productions. Her credits at Marquette include; Assistant Stage Managing Censored on Final Approach and Sunday in the Park with George, Stage Managing Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type, The Beaux Stratagem, and Little Shop of Horrors, Assistant Scenic Designing The Lion in Winter, Scenic Designing Holy Days and Defying Gravity, and Property Designing for Holy Days and If you Take a Mouse to School.
Carissa's experience as an Assistant Scenic Designer on The Lion in Winter was a collaboration
between Marquette University and Milwaukee Chamber Theatre.
Carissa, along with the rest of the design team, won the "Respondent's Award of Merit for Collaboration" from KCACTF's Region III competition in 2012 for her work on the Scenic Design Team for Holy Days.
Carissa has had the opportunity to work with many acclaimed theatre professionals, including Michael Wright, Ray Jivoff, Deb O, Todd Denning, Tony Clements, and Jim Guy to name a few.
Carissa will graduate Marquette University in May 2013.
